Photography has a long tradition of gentlemen-photographers, who don’t depend on their art for a living. Here is another one. My main photographic interest is Africa, its wildlife, landscape and people. To that purpose I have been travelling there for nearly twenty years. That does no mean that my direct surroundings are neglected. This website reflects that. A long-time Leica user, I switched to digital photography six years ago. Only since the last two years have I been able to return to the fold. The images on the site have been, for the overwhelming majority, made with Leica equipment, M8 and DMR/R9.
